SORBS (SERBJA / SERBY) Verified listing

The Sorbs (Serbja, that is to say ‘Slavs’; Sorben in German ), or Wends of Lusatia, are the descendants of the Slavic tribes of the Elbe (Surbi, Talaminzi, Lunsizi, Milzane). They inhabit the basin of the Spree and are divided between Saxony (Upper Lusatia) and Brandenburg.

The Sorbian flag displays a combination of the three colors blue, red, and white.
The quintessential Sorbian emblem is the linden leaf (represented on the monument at Drěwcy / Driewitz near Bautzen).
